Ninety unhurried minutes, in the comfort of your own home
No studio. No stress. Thirty-plus edited images, in your own light. From $395.
Gathered is the longest session — 90 minutes, 30+ edited images, and no restrictions on what we cover. It's the tier for anything that needs room to breathe. Newborn sittings are the signature use, because a days-old baby keeps their own schedule and the extra time means nobody has to hurry a feed or a settle. But the same 90 minutes is equally the session for extended family, milestones, multiple set-ups, or any group too big to rush through in an hour.
For newborn families: those first weeks are a blur of feeds, naps and tiny details you swear you'll remember forever — and then somehow don't. The curl of a hand around your finger. The flaky newborn skin. How impossibly small they look in their dad's arms. An in-home session catches all of it, exactly where your story is actually happening.
I photograph newborns and families in their own homes across Frankston, Chelsea, Seaford, Langwarrin, Mt Eliza and the surrounding suburbs. My style is gentle and documentary — real moments over stiff poses, warm honest images over heavy filters.

Ninety minutes, whoever's in the frame
Gathered isn't only a newborn session — it's the tier for anything that needs room to breathe:
- Newborn sessions — the most common use of the 90 minutes, and the reason the time is so generous. Everything moves at your baby's pace.
- Extended family — grandparents, cousins, the whole lot in one place. Bigger groups need longer, and this is the session that gives it to them.
- Multiple set-ups — more than one location, a change of outfits, or both indoor and outdoor light in the same booking.
- Milestone and family sessions that need space — if an hour feels tight for your crew, this is the one to book.
If your family is smaller or you'd prefer a shorter sitting, Golden covers the same ground in an hour from $250.
Why in-home?
Because packing up a days-old baby, a nappy bag and two exhausted parents to drive to a studio is nobody's idea of a good morning — and because extended family photos shouldn't require herding grandparents into an unfamiliar room. At home, everything you need is within reach — the change table, the feeding chair, the kettle. Everyone stays settled in a familiar space, and you get to be comfortable in your own environment.
It also makes the photos yours. The nursery you spent months putting together. Your bed, where the whole family piles in at 6am. These backdrops mean something now, and they'll mean even more in twenty years.
When should you book?
For newborn sessions: any time within the first 4 weeks after birth. There's no need to rush it into the first few days — that window gives us plenty of flexibility to work around your recovery, feeding routines and how you're all travelling.
Most families book while they're still pregnant, usually in the second or third trimester. I pencil in a tentative date around your due date, then we confirm once your baby arrives. If bub comes early or fashionably late, the date simply moves with them.
For everything else — extended family visits, milestones, a houseful of cousins — any date that suits you works. A couple of weeks' notice is usually plenty, and weekends go first.
What to expect on the day
- 90 relaxed minutes at your place — no rushing, no rigid shot list.
- 30+ edited images, delivered through a private online gallery within 2 weeks.
- Everything at your pace. For newborns, feeds, cuddles and settling breaks are built in, not squeezed around. Bigger groups get the same unhurried treatment.
- Mostly natural light. I work with the light from your windows — usually a bedroom, the couch and the nursery. For newborn close-ups and detail shots I bring a small flash with an umbrella and a bean bag, so the tiny fingers-and-toes frames come out soft and clean. No themed props or backdrops beyond that.
- The whole family welcome. Toddlers, pets, grandparents — the more of your real life in the frame, the better.
- No need to tidy up. I only need two or three corners of your home. The rest can look lived in, because it is.
Where Gathered sits
Sessions are grouped by how much time you want together, and Gathered is the longest of the three — the one to book when the session shouldn't be watching the clock.
Either side of it: Golden is 60 minutes and 20 images from $250, the signature sitting most families choose, and Glimpse is 30 minutes and 10 images from $195 for a quick refresh.
Pricing & what's included
Expecting and want the whole story? Bloom (from $595) pairs a maternity or family session with your newborn session — two 90-minute sittings, one booking, from bump to baby. Every tier in full is on the packages & prices page.
