Christmas at home, in your own light

Forty-five minutes at your place, the full gallery included. $295.

Christmas photos don't need a studio set or a hired backdrop. The best ones happen where Christmas actually happens — your tree with the ornaments the kids hung in a clump at the bottom, the couch everyone ends up on, the window the afternoon light comes through. This session is that: your family, at home, as you are this year.

I photograph it the way I photograph every in-home session — gentle prompts, real laughs, no stiff posing. As a dad of two I know December at home is rarely calm, and that's fine. The wrapping-paper chaos and the cuddles on the couch are the parts you'll want to remember.

What's included

• 45 minutes in your home — anywhere across Cranbourne, Frankston and South-East Melbourne, travel included.
• The full gallery — every edited image from your session, not a handful of picks.
• Back within two weeks in a private online gallery — so even the last sessions on 6 December are back before Christmas.
• Pay in full, or in two halves a week apart when you book at least nine days ahead.

Themed or not, your call

Go all in with the tree, the lights and the matching pyjamas, or leave Christmas out of it and keep it a relaxed family session at home. Either way it's the same 45 minutes and the same full gallery. Just let me know which way you're leaning when you book.

If you're going festive

• Get the tree up first if you can, and put the lights on — they glow beautifully in the frame.
• Matching pyjamas are welcome, not required. Wear whatever everyone is comfortable in.
• Don't tidy too hard. I'll work around the washing basket. A lived-in house looks like home in photos, not mess.
• Leave the light to me. Morning or afternoon both work — I'll make the most of whatever your windows give us.

Dates

Available from October through to Sunday 6 December, on any open date in the booking calendar. Pick a date and time that suits, and I'll come to you.

Valued at $400 — a Glimpse session ($250) with its full gallery ($150).
