You're booked in
Your Christmas mini is being confirmed and you'll get a confirmation email shortly — Setmore will send its own confirmation too. See you at Baxter Community Hall on Sunday 8 November.
The sets
Two of them, both up all day — pick one to start and move between them as you go.
Both are built indoors and lit before the first family arrives.
Since it's indoors, there's no weather to worry about and no wind chasing anyone around a park. It's warm, which matters if you're bringing a baby.
There'll be Christmas tunes playing while you're in, which does more for a shy three-year-old than anything I can say to them.
Bring the kids and whatever they need. Everything else is already there.
Questions
What do I get for $150?
A fifteen-minute session and five edited photos, delivered in a private online gallery within two weeks — in good time for cards and printing.
You'll see every edited image from your session and choose your five to download. If you'd rather have them all, you can add the full gallery for $50 — a fifteen-minute session easily produces around twenty photos worth keeping.
Is fifteen minutes actually enough?
For this, yes. Both sets are already built and lit, so none of your time goes on setting up — we start the moment you walk in.
There's also a ten-minute buffer between each session, so nobody is hurried out the door and little ones get a moment to look around and warm up before we start.
Fifteen minutes is also about the honest limit of a toddler's patience.
When do we get the photos?
Within two weeks of the day, in a private online gallery. You download them at full resolution and print them wherever you like.
What should we wear?
Christmas clothes are very welcome — that's half the fun of it. If that's not your thing, wear whatever everyone is comfortable in instead.
Neutrals sit beautifully against both sets, and textures like knits, cord and wool read better on camera than flat block colour. Rather than everyone matching exactly, pick colours that complement each other. Unless you're all going in matching Christmas pyjamas, which is its own kind of excellent.
What if my child won't play along?
Expected, honestly. I'm a dad of two and most of my working week is spent around small children with their own plans.
We work with whatever the day gives us. The frames people end up loving are usually the in-between ones, not the one where everybody finally looked at the camera at once.
How many of us can come?
Two adults and the kids is comfortable on either set. The chairs set takes up to four adults, so that's the one if grandparents are coming along too.
If you're a larger group than that, get in touch before you book and we'll work out what's possible.
Can we bring the dog?
Not at this one, sorry — it's people only.
Where do we park?
There's ample parking at the community hall, so there's no need to arrive early hunting for a spot.
What if we can't make our time?
Let me know as early as you can. If another time on the day is still free, I'll move you across to it — that's usually the easiest fix.
Everything runs on the one day, Sunday 8 November, so there's no other date to move to.
If you need to cancel more than seven days before the session, you'll be refunded half the fee. Inside seven days, the session isn't refundable.
That's everything. Limited spots, one day only.
